Singapore tops list of world’s most powerful passport 2024

Henley & Partners, based in London, has published a list of the most powerful passports in the world. According to the Henley Passport Index 2024 global ranking, Singapore takes the leading position, providing visa-free access to 195 countries. The second place is shared by five countries: France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Spain, which provide visa-free access to 192 countries.

India is ranked 82nd along with Senegal and Tajikistan, allowing visa-free access to 58 countries. Interestingly, Maldives, whose relations with India have been strained since November last year, is ranked 58th and its citizens have visa-free access to 96 countries.

China is ranked 59th as the country provides visa-free access to 85 countries. At the bottom of the list is Afghanistan, which allows its citizens visa-free access to only 26 countries.

The Henley Passport Index 2024 July Global Ranking includes 199 passports and 227 travel destinations, providing users with the most extensive and reliable information on their global access and mobility.
